Economic Encouragement

Extra Special Little Girl!
(This has nothing to do with my post)

Economic Encouragment Even though I was Evicted!
ABC Wednesday

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. Ephesians 3:20
This was my verse that I claimed when I got my job teaching last April. I cling to it as I just found out that my contract for next year is NOT being renewed due to financial cuts within the district and being the lowest person on the totem pole I am among the first to be let go.

When the disciples went to the other side, they forgot to take bread. “Watch out,” Jesus said to them, “beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” So they began to discuss this among themselves, saying, “It is because we brought no bread.” When Jesus learned of this, he said, “You who have such little faith! Why are you arguing among yourselves about having no bread? Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you took up? Matthew 16

I read this verse the day before I got the news of my job. I immediately thought: Am I like the disciples who have seen God do many amazing things in my life and yet have little faith right now, may it not be! I am trusting God through this situation that I can't see the "Why?" right now, but I know the answer in a few weeks, months, or even years will be clear to me.

What are you going through today that you are having little faith? Hopefully, you can look back and see what God has already done in your life and trust Him to continually provide and take care of your needs. If you want to learn more about God and learning to trust him visit this site, Need Him.

God Bless!

DD, this is a great post with a wonderful reminder of how we need to trust God! It reminds me of the verse, Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on our own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths"

Our human understanding at times can be suspicious and fearful and limit God. We can't trust how we feel and I'm so glad that you are not trusting your own understanding! Keep leaning on Him and in due time He will reveal his plan for your life!

I read a great quote from Elisabeth Elliot. " Pain is necessary to all of us... Out of the deepest pain has come the deepest conviction of the presence of God." This quote is so true! Pain is the gift nobody longs for still it comes and somehow leaves us stronger when it's gone! It brings us closer to God! I pray during this time of waiting, that God would be close to you, that you will feel His pleasure as He is in the business of doing the impossible! (Malachi 3:10).

Rest in the thought "God is doing something in me. God's hand is in this!"

love you!
Mom

You are such a wonderful teacher. I know you are a blessing to so many. I wish I could do something to help, but in the meantime I will continue to pray! XO!

So sorry about your job but those verses will be your sustaining force in the days to come. Where else can we go but to the Lord?
