Family Fireworks

We spent the 4th of July together as a family. Annabelle and I made cookies, we had a cook out, and then she helped Daddy take the fireworks out of the package. She wasn't too sure about the fireworks at first, and then she started to enjoy them. She wasn't too fond of the really loud ones. We saw some fireworks off in the distance from our house so we hopped in the car to try and find them. We ended up on a country road where we stopped and were able to see 5 different displays at the same time! I'll admit I was a little nervous pulled over to the side of the road watching them, but it was pretty cool! Then we came home and people right up the road were doing really big ones. We watched those for just a bit and finally had to put Annie to bed. It was a late night, but worth the excitement and fun!

Sounds like fun! I went with mom & dad to watch fireworks at the campgrounds. There were about 4 or 5 different neighborhood displays going on while we waited. I couldn't believe how big they were for being right in town. And I have to admit, they were somewhat better than the fairgrounds'! ;)
