Gabbing with Granny
Granny was missing Annabelle so she called to gab with her. We thought it would be fun to go get the camera and take a pic of her talking to her since Granny can't see her while they are talking. Annabelle was just smiling especially when Granny would say her name!

Urologist Update
As many of you know Annabelle had a UTI about 2 months ago, so we went to see the urologist today. He has set up 2 tests for Annabelle to have in the next few weeks. One test will to see if she has Vesicoureteral Reflux and an ultrasound to check her kidneys. He is putting her on an antibiotic until she has the tests. He said really she should have been put on this after her last infection cleared up. This will prevent any future infections.
Tomorrow she will be 7 months old. They weighed her today and she was 20 lbs. Josh and I measured her and she is 26 1/2 inches.

Rainy Day Crafts
My diaper bag, didn't come with a changing pad. So today while I was at Joanne Fabrics with my friend, Jen, I picked out fabric for one. Since it has been raining all day, I made this while Annabelle was napping. Thanks to Mom who got me those sewing lessons in 6th grade, I was able to accomplish this fun task! I am so excited about it! I also included a pic of the baby food I've made - Thanks to the Magic Bullet and the Wilsons for getting it for me ;-) I really feel like a stay at home mom now!
I chose a pattern that went with my bag!
Here it is opened. The dark side is
the side I will change her on. It is quilted.
To store it you just fold in half and roll!
I took a hair elastic and sewed the material around it
and created a tie for it. As you can see in the above pic
I attached the tie to the changing pad!

In the plastic bag are carrots, and in the
ice cube trays are pears.
Couldn't resist one of Annabelle,
she now feed herself her WHOLE bottle!

Swinging Day
Lisa, a lady from our church, bought Annabelle this swing a few weeks ago. Today we got time to put it up! She absolutely loved swinging in it! I think this might become something we can do with her in the evenings! She loves being outside and having the wind blow through her hair!

Harley's Party
Today was Harley's (Josh's cousin's kid) 9th Birthday Party! It was a blast! Shannon (Josh's cousin) always does a SUPER job of throwing parties as you'll see with these pics! It was an Army Themed Party! There was a lot to do at Mosher Military Base. They could paint their faces with green, black, and brown face paints so they looked like real soldiers. They also put some Special Forces tattoos on them. There was a really cool Obstacle Course, Water Balloon War, and Sergeant Says.

Annabelle got a dog tag with her name on one side and her initials on the other side.

Josh and Andrew from Bangladesh
Josh and Andrew in Bangladesh
Friday, July 20, 2007
Friday, July 20, 2007Josh lived and worked with Andrew when he taught in Bangladesh in 2003. Josh has always spoken so highly of Andrew and his friendship. This is Andrew's first time visiting the United States. He is taking Master's classes at Cederville University, so we went down there to visit him. We took him to Buffalo Wild Wings and he got the Atomic WINGS! Which are the hottest, they even come with a warning! But since Bengali food is so spicy it didn't seem to bother him at all! No runny nose or sweat!!
We had such a nice time with Andrew. I was thankful to finally meet him after hearing so much about him.

Why Blog?
Well I've finally made it to the BLOG world! I decided to start blogging because I want to use this as an online scrapbook for our family. It wouldn't be as creative and decorative as my other scrapbooks, but it will be a great way for the family to keep up-to-date on what we are doing.
Our Beginnings
We got married in June 2005. We moved out to Michigan where Josh was finishing his Master's degree in English. He finished in 2006 and then was offered the position of Assistant Pastor in charge of Youth at Jasper Bible Church. We officially moved in and began working at the church in July 2006. God blessed our family with a little girl on New Years Eve, Miss Annabelle Grace! More to come on her in the next blog!
