Monthly Milestones

14 Months Old Today!
(As close as we can get since there isn't a 31st.)
WOW, this month seems like we've taken a HUGE leap forward. Here are some things she did in her 13th month!

1. She is walking around all over the house like she owns it. (This is the longest of all the videos.)

2. She has really started verbalizing words, especially the ones that she signs. She says, baby, milk, NO-NO, and please pretty clearly.
3. She has her parents completely figured out! Check out this video!

4. She loves bananas. She had 3 in one day and I started wondering if too much banana can be bad! It is one of my favorite foods to take on the road, since I can just peel it an she can eat it as I hold it! Here she is having a love affair with her bananas!

5. She can point to your noses and eyes.
6. Slowly learning to use a fork.
7. She is showing great long term memory. She knows when she hears the door that, "Da" is home and she calls to him! It is too cute!

8. She does NOT like the vacuum cleaner!

9. While standing, she can bend over pick up an object and then stand back up!
10. She is a huge climber! Watch as she climbs up her stroller!

11. Her first feel of snow.

12. She is such a HAM or a Hamball as we sometimes call her!
13. She goes off the back of the bed backwards! We've been trying to get that one on video, but can never catch it quick enough.
14. Signs Please and Thank you together when receiving something
15. She loves being tickled and rough housed!

Skating Students

Last Saturday, February 23rd, we went to the Adrian College Ice Areana with the teens to ice skate. Many of the teens skated, however there were a couple that did not for different reasons but came for the fellowship. I was among those that didn't skate. We had such a great time, check it out!

Little Lady with a Full French Braid

We have been working on "please" for about a month now, and we do "thank you" every so often in Sign Language. But today we learned to put them together when asking and recieving food. It took about 20 minutes and 30 lil' crunchies, but she got it! I am so proud of my little lady!

Also, as Annabelle was reading her books today I got to french braid her WHOLE head! Daddy just thinks this is the cutest thing!

Various Valentine Ventures

This valentines was especially special since I had the day off and even though Josh worked we still got to see him much of the day. We opened gifts in the morning. Annabelle was so cute with her puppy that Josh got her; the one in the pictures.

Josh got me a Willow Tree figurine that I like to collect. It is the Promise one, and I absolutely LOVE it. As you will see it is already on display with all the others! He also made me a scrapbook card that says "10 Reasons I Love my Wife". It was really sweet and obviously took him a long time.

I got Annabelle a book called, God Gave Us You. It is so precious, a very nice story and it struck a couple of strings when I read it. She obviously won't understand it now, but I know someday she will. For now she just likes flipping the pages and looking at the pictures.

Josh and I love watching old television series together so I got him Season 1 of Coach, a late 80s, early 90s comedy that he loves.

We had a couples dinner and a movie night at our church Friday night for Valentine's Day. I volunteered Josh and the youth group to take care of all the kids! Thanks to Jenna, Joanna, Allie, Josh F, and my Josh, I think the kids had a GREAT night! Here are some pic of our night!

Coaxing Compassion

Some of you might find this video a bit mean, but I am so thankful I know Annabelle knows how to show compassion. I thought of this the other morning when we were up in bed and I wanted her to snuggle me and she wouldn't, so I started to fake cry. She crawled right over to me and hugged me! So then a few hours later we did it again and showed Josh. I am thankful for such a sensitive girl and will not abuse that by doing this often. (Mom Wilson-notice my shirt ;-)

(watch when she hugs me how she pats my arm at the end)

Delighted Dancer

Isn't there a saying that says, "Dance like no one is watching?" If we all took this advice we'd probably dance like Annabelle. She had NO idea I was watching. I was in the right place at the right time with the camera! She was dancing to the American Gladiator theme song on television. She sure is a bunddle of joy! Thanks for letting us share these moments with you! (Aunty Em notice her outfit AGAIN ;-)

Bookshelf Binge

As I've said in previous posts, Annabelle loves clearning any shelf she can get her hands on. Well yesterday I didn't realize I gave her a HUGE advantage on clearing not one shelf, but TWO. You can guarantee I won't make this mistake again! Make sure you watch the end, at what book we end on! :-) (Aunty Em notice her outfit ;-)

Grandmas' Gifts

This blog is dedicated to the Grandmas: Great-Grandma Wilson, Grandma (Wilson), and Granny (Kovlak). In each of these videos Annabelle is either wearing or referring to something that each grandparent gave her. Each video is about 30 seconds long.

Annabelle walking, in the outfit Great-Grandma Wilson sent,
to a Cinderella card Granny sent.
(Sorry the quality of video is so bad I didn't know I had it set on "email video")

At breakfast this morning Annabelle was feeding her baby that Grandma got her. Of course, after I got the camera she did not want to feed the baby, but she does say, "MILK!"

Granny sent us this beautiful picture of Annabelle. Annabelle loves it and listen closely as she says, "BABY!"

Smart Shopper

They were having a huge sale at Kohls Tuesday and Wednesday so I took Annabelle with me just to look. While we were looking Annabelle came across this fleece outfit and either liked the way it felt or the looks of it, but either way she wouldn't let it go! Luckily for me it was on clearance for $7 and it is in her signature color so I easily spoiled my child and bought it for her. She threw a little fit at the registar when I had to take it away from her for the lady to scan!
Here she is in the outfit today!

Look how she adores this outfit!

Here is a video, you can see how much she likes it!

Super Sunday

This past Sunday we had our annual Super Bowl Party. We had ping pong, foosball, board games (Scattergories is still the favorite, with Apples to Apples a close second), a karaoke machine, a Nintendo, pizza and... oh yeah, a SWEET football game. At halftime we watched Ladanian Tomlinson share his testimony and give any unsaved teens a chance to make that decision. None that I know of did this night, though 6 of the teens in these pictures have accepted Christ just within this past year.

They say a picture says 1,000 words, so here's like, 9,000 words. Enjoy.

The faithful few who actually watch the game. I'm not sure
what's going on w/ the commercial there.

The Apples to Apples group. The girl in black is from Brazil. She came just for this party. Brazilians speak Portuguese, not Spanish... just for the record.

The ballers.

Chillaxin'.

Mr. Kelble (white T-Shirt) and his crew.

The poor man's Fatheads. Drawn and painted by Jenna and Joanna Ford, Josh Fankhauser, and Pastor Josh.

Who would have thought THAT would be the jersey of the "other" quarterback. Sorry Ty. Kindof.

Awww... You girls do know the Pack didn't make it this year?

Alex is the only guy I know who can make the yellow shoes go to work for him. Don't try it at home.

Night Time Nebby Treatment

They think Annabelle may have asthma. Because she is so young they cannot offically test her for it, but they have put her on nebulizer treatments both in the morning and at night time. My sisters were interested in the process and asked me to record what we do...so here it is! Not all that glorious and it takes about 15 minutes to complete. (Jen notice her PJs :-)

I couldn't just leave you with her crying! Here is something she enjoys doing after her nebby treatments ---BRUSHING her teeth!!! (Granny this is the toothbrush you gave her!)
