Monthly Milestones

Today Annabelle is 13 Months old! Here are some new things she did this month....

She had her first french braid this month! I was able to braid it while she ate breakfast!

This month can pretty much be summed up by WALKING! We are not all out walking just yet, but we have come so far since the beginning of the month! We love walking up and are learning how to come down the steps!!

She loves imitating what we do, especially what Daddy does! Look and see!

She is learning Cause and Effect with her Chicken Racer!

She signs a lot more. She knows Milk and Please. She uses Please a lot. The other day I put away her cookies and she kept signing, "Please" and I kept signing and saying, "All done"! She shakes her head, "NO" and knows when she means it.

She recognizes certain items and can go get them from another room. She knows duck, baby, Baby Treece, Mickey & Minnie Mouse. The other day we were in her bedroom and I said, "Annabelle, where is baby Treece?" She crawled out her room and to the living room right to where Baby Treece was in her baby swing.

She loves emptying things. Whether it be the bookshelf, toy bag, or kitchen cupboards Annabelle can clear off any shelf. Now we need to work on putting things back where they belong! She loves playing Peek-a-Boo, and often incitiates it on her own!

She can dance while standing all by herself! Sorry I haven't gotten that on video, but here she is dancing!

She now has 5 teeth.

She loves reading wheather by herself or with Mommy and Daddy.

She says, Mama and Dada and know how to use it. Mostly she speaks a lot of jibberish. When I ask her to repeat words like "All done" she tries and often it sounds like she is getting it.

She has tried a lot more table food. Foods she likes include, Mac N Cheese, Grilled Cheese, Pizza, Jelly sandwiches, applesauce, and Raviolis. Foods she hates or shakes her head "NO" to are peaches or green beans.

Annabelle is 22 lbs (53 percentile) and 29 inches (26 percentile) long

Defying Daddy

We have a stubborn child on our hands! She comes by it honestly from both sides, but I can just see a glimpse of the toddler years now! We have been working very hard with Annabelle teaching her not to throw her food. When she was spitting her food it took about a week to teach her not to, so now we are onto throwing. The other day I had to remove her over 10x from her highchair because she kept throwing. Anyway, with this video we thought we finally had success. Make sure you listen to what Josh says....don't tell me this kid doesn't understand! Although this time I am not sure she was being completely disobedient, but she does know what her Daddy said.

Dinner with Daddy

I work at Sylvan Learning Center, usually one night a week, so before I go I like to try and eat with Josh and Annabelle. I always wonder what they do after I leave, and here is what they did this past Thursday! :-) Josh is such a good Daddy!

Right to Life Rally

Today marks the 35th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Josh and I had the privilege along with some of our teens to lead the worship at the Right to Life Rally in Lenawee County yesterday. We then walked from the church in Adrian to the Courthouse. At the courthouse, two elected officials spoke and we ended by singing. How fitting that we would rally on another important day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He led our country in civil rights and yesterday we walked for the rights of the unborn. Throughout the montage I included quotes of Martin Luther King, Jr.

(You may want to hit play, walk away to go do something while it loads and then come back ;-) The second time through it goes smoothly. The video is less than 3 minutes.)

Spring Hill Hiatus

This weekend I went on the Senior High Youth Retreat to Spring Hill Camp. I am so thankful to Josh who stayed home with Annabelle so that I could be the teen girls youth leader. I had a great time with the 6 girls that went. I was refreshed spiritually, but am now pleasantly physically exhausted! Here are pics of our weekend!

One of the big things is a Broomball Tournament. Our team made it to the Final 4 and lost :-(

Jackson Waters was the Band

Ben Glenn was the Speaker! OKA the Chalk Guy!

Tubing! I wasn't too excited about it at first b/c we had to walk up this GIGANTIC hill (the one behind us!), but it was WAY fun! We all went down together first and the second (and last) time we raced eachother down.

After Rocketball (dodgeball in a huge AIR filled Rocket ship)
where Olivia and I took eachother down!

Our cabin of girls!

Mike, a deacon from our church, who organizes the trip! Long story, but this guy played on our broomball

team and we thought he was pretty cool!

Waddle, Waddle

Annabelle has started taking more steps over the past 2 days. It is so cute because it is more of a waddle. It looks like she hasn't quite realized that you need to bend your knees when you walk. Here is a video of last night with Josh and then this morning with just me.

Birthday Bash Video

This is a montage of footage taken at Annabelle's Birthday. My mom is letting me use her One True Media account (Thanks, Mom!) so I can make these. I can edit the video clips to make them shorter and put them together with music in the background. The only thing is, it is time consuming, so I realize this is about a week late. But better late than never. Just to warn you it is about 5 minutes long, so if you have dial up this may take a long time to load! Enjoy!

Green Bay Videos

Here is some video footage of our trip!
Enjoy!

Fun Times at the Frozen Tundra

Here is Josh's Birthday present in pictures! We had a great time going to a Green Bay Packers game! Even though it was 19 degrees, we'd still like to go back someday and see another game! Enjoy the pics!
