Digging with Dad

Josh planted 5 new trees on the side of our house. Annabelle wanted in on the action as soon as she saw Dad digging. I have to say I think the week at her Grandpa's house helping him dig holes for trees primed her for this job with Dad!

Family Fun at the Zoo

We had a family day at the zoo today. Annabelle wanted to see the monkeys, tigers, and ride the train. She told us she did not want to see the Crocodiles. This week was our VBS and the theme was Crocodile Dock. One of the hallways in the church was set up like a swamp with a blow up Crocodile and Annabelle would not walk through that hallway. She had to have either Josh or I carrying her throughout the week. Surprisingly, when we came upon the crocodiles at the zoo she wanted to see them!

As you'll see Josh also painted her face so she looked like a kitty cat. They have a new kids area at the zoo, where the kids can get involved doing a lot of different things from dressing up as animals, touching them, or even being painted as one!

This year we went up to Indian Lake for only 3 full days. This was due to several things, but mainly because Josh and I took our trip to St. Thomas. However, he preached on Sunday, so we couldn't leave until Sunday afternoon and he was in Todd Walker's wedding, so we had to leave early for that. But despite the short time I took plenty of pictures. As always it was hard to narrow it down. I am going to do another smilebox of our time at the Wilds since I had so many pictures from just that trip....so stay tuned!

Family Fireworks

We spent the 4th of July together as a family. Annabelle and I made cookies, we had a cook out, and then she helped Daddy take the fireworks out of the package. She wasn't too sure about the fireworks at first, and then she started to enjoy them. She wasn't too fond of the really loud ones. We saw some fireworks off in the distance from our house so we hopped in the car to try and find them. We ended up on a country road where we stopped and were able to see 5 different displays at the same time! I'll admit I was a little nervous pulled over to the side of the road watching them, but it was pretty cool! Then we came home and people right up the road were doing really big ones. We watched those for just a bit and finally had to put Annie to bed. It was a late night, but worth the excitement and fun!

Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Boisvert tied the knot
on June 20, 2009

It was such a pleasure to stand up for my sister in her wedding and watch her make a life-long commitment to a man that absolutely adores her. They are such a godly couple. I am thankful for their example, not only for me, but for my daughter as I raise her. They have such a God-story to share and we are thankful that God has brought them together. They both love the Lord with all their hearts and will faithfully serve him together now as a couple. Congrats Britt and Steve!

My sisters--I am so thankful for each one of them!

Bachelorette Party

We had a fun time celebrating Brittany's upcoming wedding the Thursday night before she got married. We started off at a Nail Salon and got our nails done. This was followed by a dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen. Everyone had fun as you see!

Birthday & Anniversary

Two weeks ago Josh and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary and my 31st birthday. Since it was my sister's wedding week and we were leaving for St. Thomas, we went to Chipotle for a little celebration as a family. Chipotle is one of my favorite places to eat! Our camera was out of batteries so we got a picture when we got home.

The past 4 years has been such a blessing. After dating and waiting for over 9 years I got to marry my best friend. It is so nice when trying times come, and they do for all of us, that I can look back and look at that long wait with no regrets. I thank God for bring Josh into my life. He has made me a more faithful believer by the example he sets and a more dedicated Mom by the way he loves Annabelle. We have learned what it means to live with understanding. We are so different, and yet because of our love for the Lord he joined us together and has held us together by His grace. I am thankful for yet another year with my husband and pray for many more.

Josh and Annie woke me up on my birthday by bringing me breakfast in bed! It was so sweet. Annie ended up eating all my butter off of my English muffin and the marshmallows out of my cereal. She likes this breakfast in bed thing!
