Sisters

It has been so much fun as a mom watching how these two interact with eachother. Annabelle is so good to Gabrielle. Here she wanted to play in her play gym with her as they were watching Dora.

I love how these girls sleep!!

I've been wearing Gabby a lot in my sling because she loves being held, just like her sister!

5 years

Josh and I are celebrating 5 years today! Last night we went to a Toledo Mud Hens game as our Anniversary date. It was a great game up until about the 8th inning when they started losing and we started to get plagued by the Mayflies! They were hitting the light and the dive bombing on our heads!! I had one land on my head and two on my sweatshirt and about a 100 landed around us! It was hilarious, but got so bad we had to move!

As we drove to the game and back we reflected on the past 5 years and then we talked about the next 5 years and where we'd like to be. It was as great night!

Strawberry Picking with Annie

I first went strawberry picking in Clarks Summit when I was living there after college. I made such good memories with my friends and I thought it would be fun to do this with a little girl if God so chose to bless me with one! Now I have two little girls, although only Annie is old enough.

I told Annabelle about strawberry picking over a month ago and I told her that after Gabby was born I would take her and that it would just be the two of us since Gabby was too little. We had such a fun time together even though it didn't take us very long. We were done in about a 1/2 hour and only picked 2 quarts. We certainly enjoyed the fruits of our labor and are looking forward to going again next year!

Bouncing Baby

We have a fabulous store, Once Upon a Child, that I've mentioned before in a previous blog post. It is a store where you can buy gently used baby and children items. I got this brand new bouncer there for a great price. It was still in the box and had never been opened! What I found funny was they had 2 others there just like this that were already assembled and they were more money. I thought that was interesting because you know if it was already assembled that it was used.

Monthly Milestones - 1 mo.

Gabrielle is one month old today! I like to chronicle each month to see how she has grown and developed. I also like to use these as a journal for her when she grows up.

I love this picture because Josh says that Gabrielle always looks like she is surprised and this pictures says it all!

This month we've noticed that she is trying to hold her head up, stretching out her hand toward people, and smiling. Her first smile was to her sister. I was holding Gabby and Annie kissed her. As soon as Annie pulled her head away Gabby looked at her and smiled! As a mom it was one of the coolest things!

Tonight I noticed when Gabrielle was crying she had real tears coming out of her eyes.

Gabby has been quite the traveler already! She has been to 2 graduations, 4 open houses, the Toledo zoo, my school, Maryland and Pennsylvania to visit family. So far she is such a good traveler as was Annabelle at this age.

Gabrielle was exclusively nursed for the first 3 weeks. I've started supplementing with formula this past week out of convenience since we are traveling so much.

As of May 29th she has been cloth diapered. We are using GroBaby cloth diapers and I love them. So far even with the traveling they have been hassle free! I think the only week we will have a hard time with is when we go to the lake. They do not have laundry facilities available on site.

Big sister absolutely loves Gabrielle and for the most part is a really good helper, as much as a 3 1/2 year old can help!
