Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. Ephesians 3:20This was my verse that I claimed when I got my job teaching last April. I cling to it as I just found out that my contract for next year is NOT being renewed due to financial cuts within the district and being the lowest person on the totem pole I am among the first to be let go.
When the disciples went to the other side, they forgot to take bread. “Watch out,” Jesus said to them, “beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” So they began to discuss this among themselves, saying, “It is because we brought no bread.” When Jesus learned of this, he said, “You who have such little faith! Why are you arguing among yourselves about having no bread? Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you took up? Matthew 16
I read this verse the day before I got the news of my job. I immediately thought: Am I like the disciples who have seen God do many amazing things in my life and yet have little faith right now, may it not be! I am trusting God through this situation that I can't see the "Why?" right now, but I know the answer in a few weeks, months, or even years will be clear to me.
What are you going through today that you are having little faith? Hopefully, you can look back and see what God has already done in your life and trust Him to continually provide and take care of your needs. If you want to learn more about God and learning to trust him visit this site, Need Him.
God Bless!
